Error Hiker (PATCH NOTES 2025)

A short puzzle adventure where you should use all kind of bugs to get to the end!

Bugs are mostly actually game mechanics, and the puzzle itself is designed to be quite easy, as the goal is to show unique game mechanics.

This is a game made for PATCH NOTES game jam (2025). Theme: "The Error Is the Feature"

Controls:

• WASD / arrows to move
• space / E tp use things
• mouse clicks to change volume in the first room

"Bugged" mechanics (spoilers, but you can read if you are stuck on a level):

"glitchy" objects are either illusionary or boxes, not moving because of solid object ahead counts as walking, dying resets the room, but not money/sword, UI is actually a floor, you can replace numbers on the UI to make game changes, you can visit first room with a sword to go to "any room" room and beat the game

Cheats (game is fully beatable without cheats, there are no softlocks if you just use "bugs"):

• F1 to activate cheats
• F2 to get a sword
• 0-9 to switch level (holding shift makes 1->11, 2->12, etc)
• Ctrl get a coin
• R restart room
